Advancing Entrepreneurship in the Mon Valley Region provides entrepreneurial, educational, and consulting services to new, emerging and existing entrepreneurs in the Mon Valley.  With program support and individualized consulting, new entrepreneurs and existing business owners can increase sales, expand their markets and create new jobs.  These Mon Valley entrepreneurs will be able to establish and grow their businesses leading to not only individual financial security, but also contributing to the vitality and growth of the Mon Valley region.

Advancing entrepreneurship is a key strategy for the Mon Valley region and Mon Valley organizations have targeted entrepreneurship as a critical focus for economic development for this region.  Advancing Entrepreneurship in the Mon Valley Region will create pathways for emerging and existing entrepreneurs to develop and grow their businesses and link to public-private partnerships that address the needs of these emerging firms.

About Us:

Advancing Entrepreneurship in the Mon Valley Region is a joint project of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE) and the University Center for Social and Urban Research (UCSUR) at the University of Pittsburgh.  It offers a range of programs for entrepreneurs at all stages of business development. This project is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration.

Program Components:

Advancing Entrepreneurship in the Mon Valley Region programs will help firms improve access to capital, provide business and management education, and expand connections to other resources to help them grow.  New entrepreneurs can learn what it takes to get their business off the ground or move it to the next level.
