This February, we’re highlighting black entrepreneurs from our community to share more about their passions, talent, drive, hard work, and continued efforts to realize their entrepreneurial visions with our wider regional audience.

Kerry-Ann Flowers has made a career out of the most special moments of her client’s life.

In 2014, Flowers began K. Flowers Designs after a friend asked for her help with decorating and planning a large event. No stranger to good taste, design, and craftiness, Flowers gladly accepted. Six years later, she’s successfully grown her hobby into a brand that specializes in one-of-a-kind stationery for weddings, special events, and celebrations of every kind.

Flowers first came to the University of Pittsburgh’s SBDC with questions of how to grow her brand in the digital age. She wanted help refining her website in a way that would increase her digital presence and help her better understand her clientele. She requested an analysis of her website and how to revamp it in ways that would help with search engine optimization.

After receiving a comprehensive report on her website, Flowers was able to make minor adjustments to her site which helped increase engagement with her target audience and presented a clearer image of who her ideal customer really is.

If you’re interested in working with Flowers on a one-of-a-kind design or would like to learn more about her work, visit the K. Flowers Design website at kflowersdesigns.com.
