Dr. Eric Swift

Dr. Eric Swift is the Assistant Director of the SBDC at the University of Pittsburgh. As a Management Consultant within the SBDC network, he worked with 500 clients from start-up to $15 million in revenue. Most recently, he was the director of graduate business programs where he quadrupled enrollment in five years. In addition, he taught over 30 business classes at six Pittsburgh universities as an adjunct. With Project G.A.T.E. (Growing America Through Entrepreneurship), Eric trained and consulted with 300 clients to transition from unemployment to self-employment. His previous entrepreneurial pursuits include co-founding a home inspection business.
Eric has an MBA and Ed.D, from Duquesne University. His dissertation was on the emotional intelligence of entrepreneurs. He also has certificates in leadership and entrepreneurship from Harvard Business School Online and Harvard Graduate School of Education.
