New Year’s Resolution: Embrace Entrepreneurship and Our SBDC Services!

A few of our very own consultants were recently featured on WDVE’s Pittsburgh Sunday Morning to talk about existing services and budding opportunities for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs at the University of Pittsburgh Small Business Development Center. Manager of Training and Community Outreach, Michael Wholihan and Marketing Director and Senior Management Consultant, Lisa Iadicicco sat down with Sean McDowell to share details of our services and the success of recent programs.

With recent educational programming success comes new opportunities in 2018! Through Michael Wholihan’s initiative, the SBDC is excited to roll out a new program: Problem Solvers – Real Solutions for Small Businesses is a 4-part series for small business owners who are looking to improve performance, identify new revenue strategies, better manage and measure outcomes, and more.

Among the exciting opportunities the New Year brings, the Pitt SBDC continues to offer no-cost consulting as well as educational workshops guiding individuals through the startup process. The First Step: Starting a Small Business and The Second Step: Developing a Business Plan are offered monthly on Pitt’s campus in Oakland. The economic impact of the work at the SBDC is a force for entrepreneurship and economic prosperity throughout the entire region.

We are eager to continue to support our local small businesses in 2018 and beyond! Interested in learning more? Contact us at sbdc@innovation.pitt.edu or call us at 412-648-1542.
